Generation Purpose is built on a 12 year career that bridges UK Civil Service leadership and grass-roots youth coaching. Across the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the Office for Equality & Opportunity, the Department for Education and the Cabinet Office, our founder and CEO Anum Ahmed has shaped national and international social justice policy whilst mentoring the young people that policy is designed to serve.

Anum Ahmed has spearheaded landmark Prime Ministerial priorities during complex and rapidly evolving political contexts, including galvanising cross-Government momentum for historic national reforms to the children's social care system, delivering the first £10m Behaviour Hubs programme for schools across England, leading global youth advocacy for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference and so much more.

Alongside a successful civil service career, Anum has remained committed to empowering diverse young people to lead their careers with purpose and positivity by dedicating 10+ years to career coaching in schools, universities and youth organisations. Anum knows how public institutions actually recruit, decide and deliver, and what young people need to hear to navigate them with confidence.
